Minimum Notice and Terms of Employment Acts

The Minimum Notice and Terms of Employment Acts require that employers give employees certain specified minimum periods of prior notice before terminating their employments except in circumstances where a dismissal is brought about by an employee’s gross misconduct. The relevant notice period is determined by reference to the length of the employee’s service and can be up to 8 weeks in duration.
