Redundancy Payments Acts

The Redundancy Payments Acts guarantee a number of rights for employees in redundancy situations. The most important of these rights is the entitlement to be paid a tax-free minimum lump sum payment on redundancy. That sum is the equivalent of two weeks pay for each year of service plus an additional bonus weeks pay with the value of a weeks pay being capped at levels prescribed by the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment from time to time.
