Terms of Employment (Information) Acts

The Terms of Employment (Information) Acts essentially require employers to provide new employees with written statements of the key terms and conditions of their employment. These statements can take the form of a written contract signed by both of the parties, but it can also simply be a statement issued by the employer and unsigned by either party. The Acts also requires that the employer confirm any changes to these terms and conditions of employment in writing to the employee.
